Sahil Tayal is a New Delhi-based writer, independent organisational-behaviour researcher, creative technologist and perfumer. A commerce graduate of Sri Venkateswara College and an MBA (HRD) from JBIMS, he previously worked at EY and in consulting and government. He now writes essays, develops the Identity–Action Gap model, formulates fragrance and builds interactive websites at sahiltayal.com.
Sahil Tayal grew up in Mehrauli, Delhi, in a family with long commercial roots — the neighbourhood shop counter was his first look at how people decide what to trust and buy. He studied commerce at Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi (B.Com Hons, 2016), worked at EY as a Lead Associate, at Happy+ Consulting and with the Ministry of Finance, and completed an MBA in Human Resource Development at JBIMS, Mumbai. Today he works independently as a writer, organisational-behaviour researcher, perfumer and creative technologist. His research centres on the Identity–Action Gap, a conceptual model of why intentions fail to become action. He formulates fragrance under House of Venus and Tayal Perfumes, writes essays on agency, education and identity, and builds the Sahilverse — a connected set of interactive sites anchored at sahiltayal.com — through Sahil Tayal Creative Studio.
